I’m on the hunt for a solid EPUB or PDF reader for Windows that’s great for reading novels. I’ve been using Adobe Acrobat Reader, but I’d love something that makes it easier to highlight text, kind of like the Books app on Apple.
I’ve tried Calibre and SumatraPDF, but their UIs just don’t do it for me, they’re kind of a mess. Aquile Reader came closest to what I want, but for some reason, it leaves annoying empty spaces between paragraphs where there shouldn’t be any. I know it’s a bit of a nitpick, but it really bugs me!
I really love Aquile! It has custom themes, sync features, and a bunch of other great options. If you’re not a fan of the UIs in Sumatra and Calibre, I’m not sure you’d like Freda either. But Aquile is a UWP app, so that might be a better fit for you!
Yeah like i said Aquile for the UI and functionality is the best i’ve found, but does it leave a blank space between pharagraphs for you as well? It’s annoying because when you have a dialogue that in a PDF file takes half of a page, with those spaces after each phrase it takes like 4 pages
