What's the best software for watching videos?

I recently had to switch video downloaders because my usual one stopped working with 720p videos, and I found a great replacement. But now, I can’t watch the videos with Media Player or Films & TV because of some unsupported video format issue. Honestly, Films & TV has been a pain for years, and even though I love VLC, it doesn’t autoplay videos unless they’re in a playlist or I open the whole folder.

So, what are some good alternatives to Films & TV?

MPV (FOSS), available on macOS and Linux too.

yoh!..go for Pot player…

If Films & TV used to work but isn’t now, maybe there’s something wrong with it that you can fix.

Does it still play older videos but not the new ones, or can it not play anything at all?

You might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling it. It could also be a codec issue.

It works, but it won’t play my newest downloaded videos. Whatever my new downloader is doing, Films & TV just doesn’t like it.

Are you asking about the best software for watching videos, or the best software for tracking what videos people are watching?

I’m a bit confused… and honestly, kind of mixed up.

I have a nack for doing that…

If you’ve got enough storage, Usenet works great with a Plex server. Also, IPTV services are around $8 a month and give you like 2500 channels, including all the premium and pay-per-view stuff.
