Looking for something like Raycast (just for some of its features)

I think I could probably use the Windows Search Menu better, but since I work on multiple PCs, I’m wondering if there’s a tool that does what I need.

I came across Raycast in a YouTube video and was impressed by some of its features, though not everything is relevant to me. I’ve been searching for something similar for Windows but haven’t found anything yet.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • A tool that lets me create groups of programs to run with one word. For example, typing “Doc” could open Word and a shortcut to a specific webpage.
  • Easy file search, especially for finding tools stored in specific folders. I want to be able to group and tag them.
  • Shortcuts for launching favorites and displaying them.
  • Something that integrates well with the Windows interface, maybe even replacing the search menu.

I use Playnite for some of this, but it’s more gaming-focused and not quite native, so it’s not perfect. If you know of anything like this (or if I’m just dreaming), I’d love to hear about it.

You can use PowerToys Run to launch a batch file that opens multiple programs at once.

Thanks for the response!

I’ve been looking into Keypirinha and PowerToys Run. My issue with batch files is that some processes need specific setups and it doesn’t always work well. I don’t want to make my entire PC searchable with these tools (yeah, I know it’s a bit odd, but that’s just me).

Is it possible for either of these to start from a “blank” state and let me specify where to search? I hope that makes sense. I’ve ruled out a lot of options already, but maybe I’m missing something.
