Is there a good tool to convert PPTs to videos?

I’ve got a bunch of classes coming up and need to turn my PPT presentation into a video. I’m looking for a tool that can add scripts and voiceovers to each slide so I don’t have to record everything manually (because, seriously, who has time for that?). It’d be great if the tool could also add smooth transitions between slides to keep things looking smooth.

I’m after something simple but effective. Free options are fine, but I’m open to paying if it’s really worth it. Let me know what tools you’ve used that worked well for you!

How long is your presentation? The easiest option might be to use Kdenlive or another free video editor and just take screenshots of the slides.

If you don’t want to record the voiceover yourself, you can use a text-to-speech tool online to create audio files and then import them into the video editor.

The presentations are usually between 20 and 40 pages. Right now, I’m taking screenshots, but it’s kind of messy and takes a lot of time.

It’d be really helpful if there was a tool that could automatically generate scripts from the text in the PPT!

You can simply do it from PowerPoint. You just have to export the presentation in video

PowerPoint lets you do it. It also lets you time and narrate it…

Open the file in PP, click on the ‘Recording’ tab, ‘Export to Video’

Oh, this is awesome. If there’s a tool that could help me speak at the same time, that’d be perfect.

You can add audio directly to your slides.

I used to make full videos with PowerPoint 20 years ago, so it’s definitely improved since then.
