Does anyone know how to convert text-based PDFs into EPUB format? I’m looking for a way to change my text PDFs into EPUBs, ideally something that preserves the formatting and is easy to use. If you have any tips or tools that can help with this conversion, I’d appreciate the advice!
Check out Calibre, it’s free, open-source, and works on pretty much any platform. I use it all the time for this kind of stuff.
I’ve tried some other tools, but they just turn the PDF into images and then make an EPUB from those. Does this one keep the raw text and formatting?
Yeah, it works pretty well. PDFs aren’t the easiest to convert since they’re not very flexible. It’s usually better to start with something like HTML, DOCX, ODT, or RTF. But Calibre does a decent job, and sometimes it even outperforms some paid tools like Acrobat, especially if you tweak the settings.
Here’s a good one, online-convert…com
I used Zamzar a while back.
EPUB Converter, This tool is specifically for converting PDFs into EPUBs.
If you’ve got Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can use it to convert PDFs to EPUBs, but keep in mind it’s a paid tool…
