I subscribed to CCleaner and used their Recuva software over a year ago for a one-time data recovery need. I distinctly remember turning off auto-billing, but a few days ago, I received an email notifying me that I had been charged again. I tried emailing their support to cancel my subscription and request a refund, but I haven’t received any response.
I’ve also tried logging into their website to manage my subscription, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to log in and access my account.
I’m considering contacting PayPal to see if they can help me get a refund.
Has anyone else been in this situation and successfully received a response from CCleaner support? I’m starting to feel like this might be a scam since there’s no apparent way to access my account online. Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!
