From what I’ve noticed, many people still use Excel to track leave balances and certifications/licenses. At what point do teams typically start looking for more specialized software? Is it usually expensive?

Also, what are the benefits of implementing HR software solutions in a medium-sized business?

We use Jotform for HR stuff. It has sheets for tracking and you can make employees fill out forms and automate a lot of stuff. We also make apps with it so they have a portal to access docs, forms, websites etc.
